Description
Part of the second floor of an 18th-century noble building in Pisa, originally formed by the restructuring of medieval house-towers, was restored to recover its historic image. Stratifications and decorations were revealed, while a tall transparent gallery reorganized circulation through the large kitchen-dining room, linking newly opened passages. A skylight introduced light into the dark central core with a double-height volume, and a spiral metal stair connected the main floor with the attic, enhancing spatial depth and views.
