Description
In Pisa, an 11th-century medieval complex was restored by recovering its structural clarity and revealing a rare checkerboard façade in bichrome stone. The interior layout was preserved with vaulted medieval rooms, while only minimal functional services were added in non-historic areas. The work focused on structural consolidation and enhancement of original features, avoiding intrusive new insertions.
