Description
Located in Palazzo Capponi, an important 18th-century palace in Florence originally designed by Carlo Fontana, the intervention transformed a vaulted neoclassical hall with Ademollo frescoes into a reversible living space. Historic features were restored while functional volumes were inserted as frames of painted steel clad in wood or brass, with mirrored panels defining wardrobe and kitchen. A canopy-like iron structure with curtains, later evolved into a mezzanine bed accessed by a spiral stair, and a brass-clad steel bookcase completed the ensemble, combining lightness and reversibility.
